The owner seeks a reliable captai, with excellent skills in boat handling, for this iconic 12 Metre wooden Marconi-rigged sloop with a storied history of competitive and recreational sailing.She is used in a variety of ways. Guests can go on public, ticketed cruises, or arrange for private charters which include regattas, social events, weddings, parties, corporate events, and team building including match racing in Newport, RI and surrounding areas. We rarely take guests overnight or for extended cruising. This is not a live aboard position although there are berths on the boat.
The successful candidate will have a valid USCG License as a Master of Auxiliary Sail Vessels with a minimum of an Inland rating and 50 Gross Tons, a Marine Radio Operators Permit, a clean USCG record.
