Position Summary:

Bentley Systems is seeking an experienced individual to become a key member of our iTwin Platformleadership team as Senior Director of Product Management.

The iTwin Platform is an open, scalable cloud platform as a service (PaaS) that provides the foundation for an ecosystem of infrastructure digital twin solutions built by Bentley Systems and third parties.

This is a position for an entrepreneurial and tenacious leader. You will substantially shape the role and have a lasting impact on our platform, strategies, markets, and product management discipline. You will lead and grow a team of product managers who impact every team across Bentley. You will be expected to lead this team through critical stages of growth, while more effectively identifying and materializing greater opportunities to deliver business outcomes and proliferate adoption of the platform.

We are seeking someone who can develop a strong understanding of the company and iTwin Platform vision, set product strategy to support the vision and reinforce this strategy across the organization. You will ask the hard questions about the value of our products and the impact on our customers. Your decision-making process draws from your extensive industry knowledge, previous platform experiences and consumer insights/data.  As a Senior Director of Product Management, you will make strategic and deliberate decisions with our Platform, while scaling a world-class team of Product Managers, mentoring, and empowering them as owners of their own cloud services and shaping a platform that our customers love.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspire, guide, coach and empower others in the Product Management discipline.
  • Responsible for the overall delivery and performance of the Product Management team.
  • Bridge the gaps between business objectives, customer feedback, technical delivery, and financial viability of Product offerings.
  • Oversee Product definitions, feature set prioritization, and design.
  • Champion long-term Product vision, planning and go-to-market strategies across all verticals.
  • Drive product strategy and road mapping and oversee execution across the organization.
  • Responsible for the overall talent management of the Product Management team.  This includes recruiting, skill development, compensation planning, performance feedback, motivation and disciplinary actions as required.
  • Partner with HR on long-term workforce planning, location strategy, talent and succession management, role/comp standardization, training, and change management.
  • Heavily engage with Product Engineering, Product Support, User Success & Business stakeholders at all levels to execute product roadmaps and meet company objectives.
  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with users, stakeholders, peers, and team members.
  • Foster "Extreme Ownership" of the product(s).
  • Define, implement, monitor, and report relevant performance indicators of the product organization.
  • Define standard processes along the user and product lifecycles; run some of these processes directly, e.g. product launch.

What you Bring to the Team:

  • 10+ years' experience in Product Management required.
  • 5+ years of people management, leading a team of Product Managers required.
  • 5+ years' experience in delivering Platform-as-a-Service solutions required.
  • Experience in driving execution across large, cross-functional, and global organizations.
  • Proven track record of success in building products with a high-quality user experience.
  • Passion for leading, mentoring and scaling product teams to reach their full potential.
  • Experience defining end-to-end product mission, strategy, and roadmap
  • A healthy level of skepticism and an analytical nature: the ability to quickly absorb and analyze unfamiliar information to make decisions that are supported by sound evidence.
  • Eloquent and passionate when speaking with users and stakeholders while being an ambassador of our Products, Mission, and Values.
  • A strong storyteller who can motivate, excite and inspire a team of product managers, our users, and prospective clients.
  • Highly accountable; takes ownership and drives a sense of urgency.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a highly collaborative yet decisive approach.
  • Strong negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Driven, self-starter; comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Deep understanding of engineering and construction workflows and the technology landscape used to deliver infrastructure projects is preferred.
