Research Associate-Fixed Term – East Lansing, MI

Research Associate-Fixed Term

Michigan State University

East Lansing, MI

Position Summary

The specifics of the research project are flexible, but could include experimental plant work in the growth chamber or field, genomics or transcriptomics analysis, and/or evolutionary theory. The lab also has a few datasets on hand that could be analyzed by the postdoc. See more about current lab research at Successful candidates will have demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas, although expertise in all areas is not expected: evolutionary genetics, population genetics, quantitative genetics, programming (in R, python, or other languages), statistics, and/or genomic data analysis.

MSU is a fantastic place to be a postdoc, with a favorable cost-of-living: salary ratio, and many other labs engaged in exciting plant genomics and evolutionary genetics research. The Josephs lab is a safe space and is committed to increasing diversity in the scientific community. I therefore strongly encourage applications from candidates from historically-excluded groups.
