Requirements
You are a design leader that’s passionate for hands-on work —
You have experience leading a product design strategy and vision to a successful launch as a Principal, Staff or Lead Product Designer. You have made a name for yourself as both a design leader and a people leader in the industry, yet you still find the greatest joy in taking ownership of the work, developing impactful strategy and getting your hands dirty by executing the design work yourself.
You believe in a continuous discovery mindset —
You are authentically curious about the people you are designing for and seek to understand them as much as possible. You can drive user research (qualitative and quantitative) and distill insights and feedback to inform problems, solutions and opportunities to support ongoing product development.
You are a master at visual and interaction design —
You are always seeking the perfect balance between function and form. With extensive knowledge of user-centered design, interaction design, and information architecture, you can solve complex workflows with ease. Your mastery of visual design, information hierarchy, layout, composition, and typography allows you to create beautiful and elegant user experiences that delight users. Your designs can seamlessly blend strong branding and marketing strategy to craft a beautiful and compelling product narrative. You have a deep appreciation for simplicity in design, which is reflected in the elegance of your work and the products you admire or use everyday.
You have a strong strategic ability —
You have led the product design strategy in previous roles and ensured that it aligns with the overall business strategy and goals. You have experience collaborating with stakeholders, including product management and engineering, to identify opportunities and define product requirements. You have the ability to zoom out and strategically ask "why" at a deeper level.
You have a 0 to 1 mindset —
You embrace ambiguity and can work closely with the team to make quick decisions, learn from them, and iterate. You value rapid feedback and are not afraid to take risks. You thrive in ambiguous and uncharted territory, where you can create something new from scratch. You love exploring and iterating.
You are a great storyteller —
You believe that the way you explain and speak about your work is just as important as the work itself. You can distill problems down to their essence. You can speak simply about your designs and articulate the rational behind your iterations and approach. You have excellent communication skills, with the ability to create beautiful presentations and compelling user journeys to articulate concepts to the team all the way up to executive leadership.
You thrive in a team environment —
Your collaborative nature allows you to work well with others, and you find fulfillment in shared successes. Your team members can always rely on you to be a supportive partner and a source of motivation.
You deeply care about the work —
You’ll do anything to achieve your goal. You know how to think on the fly and persist through setbacks and roadblocks and to motivate your teammates to do the same. You’re constantly thinking of ways the product can be better for your users. You are a thought leader that finds joy in defining and evangelizing design excellence, both within the team and across the organization.
You are an expert with our design tools —
You have a strong knowledge and expertise in design tools such as Figma, Protopie, User Testing or other User Research tools. You’re obsessed with clean design files and building design systems to make everyone’s life simpler and efficient, including engineering.
