Job Description

Recruit: $62,083 + benefits (while attending 6 month Academy) Upon Police Academy Graduation: $76,920 + benefits TCOLE Certified Police Officer (36-71 months experience): $79,590 + benefits TCOLE Certified Police Officer (72-119 months experience): $83,526 + benefits TCOLE Certified Police Officer (120+ months experience): $90,444 + benefits

Recruit and Lateral Officers are eligible for a$10,000 HIRING INCENTIVE!*Lateral hires will receive 50% of the incentive when hired and 50% upon completion of the FTO program. **New hires (Recruits) will receive 50% of the incentive when hired, 25% upon police academy graduation, and 25% upon completion of the FTO program. ***Employees that receive an incentive and voluntarily leave City employment prior to their third anniversary will be required to pay back the incentive.

++Panel Interview++: Those who pass the written exam and physical agility test will move on to the panel interview scheduled for Wednesday, April 12, 2023, and, if necessary, Thursday, April 13, 2023.

This is accomplished by responding to general and critical incidents to investigate and enforce violations; patrolling geographical limits; responding to crime scenes; processing reports and transporting prisoners.
