How Will You Make an Impact?
Our Safety and Health team is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitionerwho is passionate about high-quality occupational health care and dedicated to supporting the wellness and safety of our employees. In this role, you will evaluate and treat work-related occupational injuries and illnesses, coordinate follow-up medical care, manage case histories, perform medical surveillance and examinations, produce health examination reports, and review test results. Some of the additional ways in which you will make an impact include:

Providing medical services, including health evaluations, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing medications, and ordering referrals

Conducting phone and in-person triage of injured employees to determine and arrange proper disposition of employees to hospital, clinic, home or return to work

Performing Commercial Driver's License (CDL) medical certifications and post-offer, pre-placement physical examinations

Collaborating with the City of Colorado Springs's Occupational Health Clinic, Physical Therapy, and Workers' Compensation

Performing testing and evaluation for Hearing Conservation Program in accordance with OSHA and CAOHC, Pulmonary Clearance and Respirator Fit Testing in accordance with OSHA, and to support the asbestos monitoring program

Performing medical office administration and records management

Collaborating on department and occupational health policies, procedures, and programs with safety engineering, ergonomics, and industrial hygiene
Who You Are
-
Relevant and progressively responsible clinical experience providing medical services and care for occupational injuries, or primary/urgent/emergency care services for the adult population

Graduate of an accredited Nursing or Physician Assistant program

Active license, in good standing, to practice as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Colorado

Possession of current State and Federal DEA certification and the legal ability to prescribe schedule II-V medications/narcotics

Possession of Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications
-
NCCPA Board Certification, and possession of either AANPCB or ANCC
-
Experience performing Audiograms, Lung Function Testing, Respirator Fit Testing, and Vision Testing

Colorado Workers' Compensation Level 1 accredited, or the ability to become accredited within three (3) months of hire

Registered with National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners or become certified within three (3) months of hire

Knowledge of Colorado Workers' Compensation system and Colorado Medical Treatment Guidelines is valued
