Job Summary

Technology Engineering Manager works with project teams and business stakeholders to provide technical guidance and direction on IT/OT products. Drives and executes activities required to complete large and complex capital projects. Manages and supervises a group of MAST and possibly contractors. Responsible for system performance, capacity, system demands and product strategy. Ensures operations of technology solutions are consistent with service and business performance objectives. Documents standards and operating procedures for operation of critical systems. Performs supervisory duties including career development, coaching and counseling, and performance and compensation management.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibility includes but not limited to:

Directly manages/supervises employees. Leads a high performing team through both direct span of control and through network and influence.
Maintenance and continuous improvement of critical IT/OT system (24/7 Support)
Lead various capital and O&M Distribution ADMS (advance distribution management projects), act as SME in ADMS platform especially with SCADA system
Evaluate existing technology solutions and platforms and provides recommendations for improving technology performance by conducting gap analysis, identifying feasible alternative solutions, and assisting in the scope of needed modifications.
Makes solutions and solution parts production-ready by following the standard change management processes, completing required forms, following procedures, completing version control documents, etc. by working with different stakeholders.
Manages and oversees Project Scope coordination; Project Execution Plan input, preparation, coordination, monitoring, projects estimate, assists in project schedule development, contractor coordination and management
Provides direction on strategic/tactical technical initiatives and decisions that have a major impact on Technology Products and sets direction for the execution in regards to technical performance. Creates and maintains system-wide standards
Act as escalation point to mitigate risks and issues for projects and programs within the IT/OT portfolio

Job Specific Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline and at least 6 years of experience in an operational role focusing on IT/OT (operational technology) system implementation or maintenance
Lead various capital and O&M Distribution ADMS (advance distribution management projects), act as subject matter expert in ADMS platform especially with SCADA system
Evaluate existing technology solutions and platforms and provides recommendations for improving technology performance by conducting gap analysis, identifying feasible alternative solutions, and assisting in the scope of needed modifications.
Makes solutions and solution parts production-ready by following the standard change management processes, completing required forms, following procedures, completing version control documents, etc. by working with different stakeholders.
Provide direction on strategic/tactical technical initiatives and decisions that have a major impact on Technology Products and set direction for the execution in regards to technical performance. Create and maintain system-wide standards.
Identifying, prioritizing and coordinating implementation efforts for the top Utility strategic objectives
Supporting the reporting and metrics/measures of Strategic Initiatives
Support the Utility lines of business in accomplishing the desired scorecard results and business objectives
Ensure the quality of work performed is in compliance with all Company standards, procedures, safe work practices, and government laws and regulations while successfully managing project budget and schedule adherence
Demonstrated ability to train and develop others
Strong judgment, planning and organizational skills
Knowledge of process dependencies and linkage across the company
Demonstrated interpersonal and team building skills, with the ability to foster an inclusive work environment and respect all aspects of diversity
High Level Access background check required

Desired:
2-3 years of ADMS (SCADA) experience 
Experience in software development cycle starting from requirement analysis to implementation
Experience with SEL devices including: DPAC, RTAC, Relays, and other Distribution Automation devices
Experience with different utility application based protocols like DNP3, ICCP etc.
1-2 years of experience with technologies like: Python, Cassandra DB, Mongo DB, SQL, Oracle, Power BI, VMware
Excellent consultative skills and the ability to work effectively with client and other systems technical staff, consultants, and vendors
