We are in search of a dynamic Manager, Billing & Revenue Management to manage the operational processes that support Non-Utility retail revenue calculation, presentation, and payment processing, to include billing through various Utility consolidated systems and independent, separate billing systems as well as collections activity, negotiation, and reporting. The hired individual will be responsible for the company's policies, procedures and SOX controls for these areas and will serve as company liaison with other Utilities for all related billing and payment services and problem resolution. 

 Job Duties: 

  • Lead assigned employees, to include hiring, evaluating, training, and performance management coaching and developing to ensure the achievement of goals 

  • Manage the delivery and overall quality assurance of billing, payment processing, and collection activity for the company's billing through outside utilities and direct customer billing 

  • Design, refine, and implement quality control processes that ensure the accuracy of customer billing and revenue accounting as well as increase efficiencies in the department 

  • Create ad-hoc detailed and summary reports and data visualizations for presentation to all levels of the organization  

  • Coordinate with company customer service team to identify billing or payment problems and trends and communicate appropriate resolutions for customers 

  • Interact with utility partners to ensure that large quantities of data are received, analyzed, and communicated and that customer billing and payment details are accurate.  Direct revenue management team in the tracking and resolution of aging accounts. 

  • Represent the company in the negotiation of settlements and resolution of billing and payment anomalies discovered through reconciliation of data 

  • Guide development of improved budgeting and forecasting reporting and collaborate with the finance team to ensure tie-in with their forecasting process 

  • Collaborate with internal information systems team to convey requirements and ensure that necessary changes in Oracle systems are built and tested 

  • Investigate and research quantitative anomalies, including large scale physical commodity imbalances and financial differences 

  • Manage relationships with third party payment processors to ensure accurate and timely processing 

Required Skills & Experience: 

  • Minimum of7years of progressively responsible experience in a professional office environment including at least 5 years of relevant analytical support experience 

  • Five years of supervisory experience to include hiring, training, and managing personnel 

  • BS/BA in business, statistics, mathematics, or related discipline Preferred.  

  • Top-notch analytical skills with proven ability to develop robust business processes 

  • Creative problem-solver 

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications including Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel;  

  • Proficiency with data visualization software such as Power BI (or other); query tools including native SQL preferred.  Ability to write SQL queries preferred. 

  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a matrix organizational structure 

  • Strong process orientation with outstanding organizational skills and the utmost attention to detail 

  • History of being an advocate for change, efficiency, and for constant improvement 

  • Demonstrated ability to logically, concisely, and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to diverse audiences at all organization levels to include executive level.
