Our client, a leading financial institution known for their down-to-earth culture and record of retaining and developing talent, is seeking a Director level Employee Relations specialist to join their well-resourced Center of Excellence. Their ER carve out is still being refined, so this is a perfect opportunity for someone who wants to be innovative and creative and who is skilled at gaining buy in from both the business and its leaders.
The company has a presence in over 50 countries and the role reports to a phenomenal Head of Employee Relations for the Americas. With a focus on various ER issues such as performance management, terminations, and employee complaints, this individual also will facilitate trainings for managers and analyze data to present senior stakeholders within the firm.
The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of depth in Employee Relations, strong knowledge of US employment law, along with the ability to face off at the leadership level with impressive communication and an innovative approach to problem-solving. Experience in a mid to large sized companies (ideally global in scope), as well as alacrity in navigating a matrix organization, will assure success.
This role will be based out of the Weehawken, NJ office (only 1 day per week!) and will require some light travel to their nearby offices in the tri-state area i.e. NYC/Midtown and Stamford.
