As the Chief Information Officer (CIO), you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing, planning, prioritizing, developing, contracting, operating, and maintaining the Agency’s information and communications technology resources. The functions of the office include the full range of CIO functions to include IT strategic planning; IT workforce planning; IT capital planning and investment management; systems acquisition, development, and integration; major e-government initiatives; and enterprise architecture.
- Providing strategic leadership, direction, support, and motivation for the office to ensure the continued development and management of professional and efficient organization and the establishment of effective decision-making processes for the office in meeting their short and long-term goals.
- Directing the formulation of agency-wide IT policies, procedures, and processes for all areas of information management including the establishment of standard USAID technical architectures; data architecture management and administration; the setting of information standards; software design and development, software, and hardware configuration management; IT acquisition management; testing and operational evaluation with USAID.
- Overseeing the development of long and short range financial plans, monitoring of the budget, and the establishment of financial priorities to ensure the organization is operating in an effective and efficient manner.
