Are you an adventurous nature lover? Come work with us in the heart of the Tongass National Forest on Baranof Island where you will cook the best seafood, for the best clientele, in the best part of Alaska.

We run the M/V Huntress for 5-12 day boat based hunting, fishing, and sightseeing trips out of Sitka. Imagine yourself cooking scrumptious food and your workplace window has a view of pristine rugged coastlines with occasional whales and porpoises to ad to the atmosphere of serenity. When you work with us you get to prepare and enjoy halibut, salmon, crab, and, shrimp that was sustainably caught just hours or even minutes before! You can kayak or paddle board on your break and if time and tides allow visit pristine natural hot springs with no commute, or traffic, or crowds. Town days you can explore historic downtown Sitka, hike the local trails, forage for wild edibles, swim in Swan Lake, or borrow a bike and take the paved scenic path out to Silver Bay. Your down time can be as social as you like with our family and friends or as private as you need it to be. We love what we do and we put a lot into learning and improving every year. What truly sets us apart is our willingness to do whatever we can to ensure that every trip is the trip of a lifetime for the clients as well as the crew. With us you aren’t a name tag or a number and there are opportunities for additional training and advancement, as well as off season work.

We are looking for an independent creative chef to prepare meals/snacks for 2-6 clients plus crew and be a part of our team. The ideal candidate is energetic, smart, kind, and willing to help out wherever needed. This is a family business, kiddos ranging in age from 11 to 16 take turns being on board, as does our little Goldendoodle fury friend. We come with great personal and professional references and we are seeking the same. You don't need to be a professionally trained chef but you should be comfortable preparing a diverse menu at a high standard while accommodating any dietary restrictions/preferences that the clients may have.

No smoking of any kind. No drinking while on the vessel. Random drug testing is mandatory.
