The Department of Economics at Michigan State University in East Lansing seeks applications at the tenure-system assistant professor rank with an expected start date of August 16, 2023. The successful candidates will conduct research, teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, mentor students, and perform service to the Department, the University, and the profession. The Department is interested in candidates who will contribute to diversity and equal opportunity in higher education through their teaching, research, and service.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants should hold a PhD in economics or related field or be expected to complete such a PhD before the start date. Applicants should be committed to teaching and research of the highest quality.
Desired Qualifications
We encourage candidates working in applied microeconomics to apply – especially those working in Industrial Organization or Labor. Applicants should be committed to teaching and research of the highest quality.
