The Analyst, IT PMO role supports and helps deliver a standardized approach for identifying, prioritizing, and successfully executing a technology portfolio of initiatives.This role will help define and implement an IT PMO, project management ("PM") standards(e.g., processes, tools, templates, methodologies, techniques, and best practices), and related efforts.

 There will be a strong focus on achieving PM excellence within the organization.  This role will be viewed as a leader in PM knowledge/capability and as a problem solver.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions Include:

 Help Build a PMO.  Help implement an IT PMO and deliver initiatives spanning a variety of areas such as governance, project portfolio management, resource management, reporting, KPIs/metrics, roadmapping, etc.

 Develop and Support Standards.  Develop, research, review, evaluate, select, implement, and support PM standards to help promote the successful delivery of projects per established scope, schedule, and budget.  Stays up to date on current PM trends and standards.

Increase PM Capabilities.  Help advance/mature the PM capabilities of IT and other stakeholders.  Provide PM structure, consistency, and vision in an indeterminate environment.  Guide project teams in understanding, using, and complying with current/future standards and deliverables.

Coaching and Mentoring.  Provide PM coaching/mentoring to Managers, Project Managers, project teams, and other stakeholders.

Training and Communication.  Develop, deliver, and support training on current/future standards.

Ensure Compliance and Consistency.  Lead ongoing reviews and data quality checks to confirm standards are being consistently applied.  Follow up with stakeholders to ensure compliance and quality.  Coach/mentor colleagues as needed.  Apply PM expertise to help teams resolve questions/concerns and execute their projects.  Continuously optimize standards as needed to maintain peak efficiency.

Provide Portfolio Visibility and Transparency.  Monitor, track, and report on progress throughout the lifecycle of portfolios/projects.  Produce and support regular PMO reporting, dashboards, portfolio performance, etc. to multiple levels of the organization.

Analytics.  Assemble, manipulate, and consolidate large volumes of project-related data.  Support project teams as needed to ensure smooth delivery and project success.

Project Management.  Manage all aspects (and related deliverables) of a project, including discovery, planning, financials, resourcing, requirements, schedule, kickoff, updating project tools and status, execution phase, issue/risk/change management, manage vendor deliverables, test planning/execution, go live, and transition to support.

Continuous Improvement.  Focus on continuous improvement, analyze/document the current environment, business processes, and workflows.  Assess gaps and areas of improvement.  Evaluate/implement appropriate solutions to satisfy the need, and provide ongoing support.
